"Taylor Swift wants to be a democrat because she wants to be in movies….period," he tweeted "And it looks like she will suck the door knob off Hollyweird to get there. Oldest move in the book. Good luck girl."

The tweet, which has garnered over 55,000 replies, 30,000 retweets and over 131,000 likes, has rocked the social media site. It has also sparked reactions from celebrities like Chrissy Teigen, who quote tweeted Rock's words with her own message.

"you’re pathetic. - Chrissy Teigen," she wrote, mimicking Rock's tweet sign-off.
