Golden Globes: See the full 2019 nominations list

(CNN) The 76th Golden Globe Awards will be a battle of blockbusters versus indies.

Nominations for the Hollywood Foreign Press Association's annual ceremony, which honors achievement in film and television, were announced Thursday. Big film hits "Black Panther," "Bohemian Rhapsody" and "A Star Is Born" will compete for best drama against the critically acclaimed "BlacKkKlansman" and "If Beale Street Could Talk," directed by Spike Lee and Barry Jenkins, respectively, who directed the Oscar-winning "Moonlight." "Vice," a dark satire about George W. Bush selecting Dick Cheney to be his running mate in 2000, scored the most film nominations with six. In the television categories, nominations were widely distributed. "The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story" led among TV series with four nominations.
