Morning Call Girls Tennis Singles Player Of The Year: Easton Elessa Jacobs

Elessa Jacobs has set the bar high for future Easton girls tennis players. The senior won three-straight ‘ She made tennis a great sport at our high school. She was a coach’s dream come true.

The senior won three-straight District 11 Class 3A titles and was a PIAA quarterfinalist this fall. In the district finals, Jacobs knocked off one of the top underclassmen in the state, Freedom’s Tashanna Smith.

For closing out her high school career with authority, Jacobs is The Morning Call girls tennis player of the year.

“There are so many good things I can say about her. She’s grown into a leader of the team, is an inspiration for all the other players, a hard worker, and extremely intelligent,” Easton coach Joe Rossi said. “She continued to work hard to be the best she can be, which showed as she won districts three years in a row, which is a record for Easton. She made tennis a great sport at our high school. She was a coach’s dream come true.”
