Jurgen Klinsmann is reportedly interested in a return to Tottenham Hotspur .

Tottenham Hotspur got back to winning ways on Saturday afternoon with a 2-1 victory over Southampton, easing some of the concern about Mauricio Pochettino.

Tanguy Ndombele and Harry Kane were on the scoresheet for Spurs , and whilst a Serge Aurier red card and a Hugo Lloris blunder threatened to hit Tottenham, they came through with grit and determination.

The win will have been a welcome relief for boss Pochettino, who saw his side throw away a 2-0 lead to draw at Olympiacos, squander a 1-0 lead to lose 2-1 at Leicester City and then somehow crash out of the Carabao Cup at the hands of fourth-tier Colchester United.

That run results saw Pochettino linked with a move away, though any talk of sacking or resignation always seemed a little premature, even if Spurs may well be coming to the end of a cycle under the Argentinian.

Last week, the Daily Mail reported that ex-Spurs striker Jurgen Klinsmann was keen on a return to Spurs, eyeing up the job whenever Pochettino does decide to leave Tottenham.

The German was a favourite at White Hart Lane as a player, scoring 38 goals in 68 games for the club, but his managerial record with Germany, Bayern Munich and the USA is somewhat patchy.

That makes a move seemingly unlikely even if Klinsmann would jump at the chance, with Pochettino unlikely to go anywhere soon and Spurs no doubt looking a little bigger than Klinsmann.

Now, ex-Spurs man Graham Roberts has taken to Twitter to react to the rumours, saying he would love to manage Tottenham too but it doesn't particularly mean anything, seemingly writing off the chances of Klinsmann arriving, and urged everyone to get behind Pochettino – as they did against Southampton.
