Easter brings in a new beginning, but cellar-dwelling teams will try to save with what’s left Monday in the 2019 PBA D-League at JCSGO Gym in Cubao.

Desperation is at an all-time high for Batangas-EAC and Family Mart-Enderun when they clash at 1 p.m., while an elimination awaits the loser of the battle between winless sides CD14 Designs-Trinity and SMDC-NU at 3 p.m.

In the Aspirants Group, the Generals came close to staying in the playoff race but dropped a 122-119 double-overtime thriller to AMA Online Education last Monday, sending them down to a 1-5 slate.

The Titans are on the same vote, suffering a late-game meltdown to drop a 73-68 defeat to McDavid to stay winless through five games.

Meanwhile, things haven’t been that promising for the Foundation Cup minnows as they rank at the bottom fourths of the league in offense, with the White Stallions scoring a fourth-worst 68.4 points per outing while the Bulldogs only mustering a fifth-worst 72.4 points per game.

CD14 Designs-Trinity was on the receiving end of a 93-69 rout at the hands of CEU two weeks back, with newcomer John Tayongtong being the lone bright spot.
