Chelsea fans were gutted when the January transfer window closed with Lampard failing to land either Dries Mertens or Edinson Cavani, who were both of interest.

Yet the Blues did land Ziyech, who will link up with his new team-mates once the Premier League season grinds to a close.

The Ajax star has been in stunning form over in Holland, registering 13 assists and scoring six times from 21 league matches.

He was also impressive throughout their Champions League campaign, getting five assists and finding the net twice.

Chelsea are eager to see him pull on their blue shirt and he could represent the shrewdest business of the summer.
