Metro residents may have to look to navigation this weekend. Multiple freeway lanes will close starting Friday, July 26 to Monday, July 29 to meet end of summer project deadlines. According to the Michigan Department of Transportation news release, total closures include I-94, M-5 and M-59 while lane closures will impact I-94, I-96, I-375, M-10, M-39 and US-24. MDOT also said these work zones will be stationed in the Macomb, Oakland and Wayne county area. While MDOT finishes roadwork, they released detailed closures based on counties.
