Timex Wood Wood Waterbury Collaboration Is Stylish, Affordable and Low-Key

Timex keeps churning out the hits. Less than two weeks after restocking the smash-hit Q Timex —and selling out of it in less than 24 hours for the second time in a row—the affordable watch brand is back with another banger. This time, it's a collab (and you know Timex loves a collab ) with Danish brand Wood Wood, which turned its design ethos to the classic 38mm Waterbury watch.

On first glance, the new timepiece is about as low-key as they come. Wood Wood blacked out the case, the strap, and the dial, leaving the hour markers and indices in white for a modern take on function-first military styling. To be honest, even if that were the whole story, I'd still be into this collab. An all-black field watch is always welcome, and goes with just about every outfit your mind can conjure.

But that's not all there is to this collab. The real treat comes when you press the crown to illuminate Timex's signature Indiglo backlight. In big block letters (black, naturally) set against the glow, the dial reads "GET LOST." If it seems a little confrontational to you, I get it. But that's not the message that's intended. Instead, Wood Wood wanted to encourage the wearer to, you know, actually get lost . To wander. To find yourself somewhere new, whether that be out in nature or just in your own mind.

And then, when you find your way back from whatever real or imagined adventure you just went on, you can look down at your (very stylish watch), and see how long it's been since you set off.
