Oslo actually served the arab side in one fundamental way--it legitimized and normalized the cultural appropriation of the word "palestinian" and made the rebranding mainstream. Prior to that, these arabs were just that--arabs.

This created an identity that never previously existed, along with an invented history that ultimately seeks to usurp Jewish history. They also invented a culture, and a peoplehood that never existed before.

Without Oslo, no one would even know the word "palestinian" today.

So fair or not, these arabs owe their whole everything to Oslo.

The only reason it didn't work out for them is that they turned down Barak's proposal, which is the best offer they'll ever see, and chose years of suicide bombings instead.

Once you do that, you'll never be forgiven, or seen as human again....
