Guiding the Cleveland Cavaliers to the 2016 NBA championship over the Golden State Warriors was viewed by many as the crowning achievement of LeBron James' legendary career. As it turns out, he basically feels the same way — and even contends the victory sealed his place as the greatest NBA player of all time.

"That one right there made me the greatest player of all time," James said in a segment released by ESPN from their streaming show More Than An Athlete .

"I was super, super ecstatic to win one for Cleveland because of the 52-year (title) drought," James said, adding the emotion he displayed following the final buzzer was for everything the city's sports fans had gone through since the Browns won the 1964 NFL championship.
