LOS ANGELES — A lot of people have a good time when they go to watch an NBA game. And then there is the kind of good time had by Los Angeles Lakers fan Dean Tran on Wednesday night. Tran, 40, a counselor from Los Angeles, was selected to shoot from half-court for a $100,000 prize between the third and fourth quarters of the Lakers’ clash with the New Orleans Pelicans at Staples Center.

Not only did he sink his effort to claim the cash, but after celebrating with James’ iconic press-the-floor motion, he attracted the attention of the Lakers star himself.
