Bryan Cranston has counted himself lucky that he has beaten coronavirus before it could take hold in his body.
The 64-year-old Breaking Bad actor said that despite "adhering to the protocols," he still fell ill with the symptoms of Covid-19.
He has now posted a video on Instagram urging his followers to "keep wearing the damn mask," as he feels "one of the lucky ones" after beating the virus that has claimed more than 150,000 lives in the United States.
In the video, Bryan is seen standing outside of the UCLA Blood & Platelet Center as he shared with his followers that he is donating his plasma that contains Covid-19 antibodies to those who are still fighting off the virus. Bryan went on to describe how he felt as he went down with the virus.
He continued: "I was one of the lucky ones. Mild symptoms. I count my blessings and urge you to keep wearing the damn mask, keep washing your hands, and stay socially distant.
"We can prevail — but ONLY if we follow the rules. Be well — Stay well."
Speaking about his decision to donate his plasma, Bryan added: "This will help people recover faster and be used in scientific research studies about this virus." Bryan Cranston as Walter White in Breaking Bad (Image: UGC)
Bryan said that 840 millilitres of plasma was collected and he vowed: "I'll be sure to come back and give more."
The actor said that he realised he had coronavirus "quite early on" as he suffered a "slight headache" and "tightness of chest."
He also said he "lost all taste and smell."
Bryan concluded: "Don't forget to wash your hands, social distance and weak a mask!"
