Smith then explains Hamilton the deal:

"Okay, here's the deal. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for me, man. You've already won, save something for other people. You're black, I'm black, nobody is going to know the difference. I got this."

Abu Dhabi Grand Prix was the final race of the season and world champion Hamilton had the perfect end to a remarkable season.

After starting at the pole position, Hamilton zoomed off to his 11th win of the season and a 73rd of his career. It was a symbolic finish to the season where for the second straight year he proved his superiority under pressure to beat Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel to the title.

Hamilton, who has won 51 of the 100 races in the V6 turbo hybrid era, became the first driver to score more than 400 points in a season with a final tally of 408. His victory also left him 18 wins away from Michael Schumacher's all-time record.
