Tottenham's job could be made easier as Ajax reportedly suffer injury blow to key man

Tottenham Hotspur travel to Amsterdam to take on Ajax in the Champions League tonight.

According to a report from the Daily Mail , Ajax have suffered a potentially big blow ahead of their Champions League clash with Tottenham tomorrow night, with David Neres picking up a knock during their 4-0 cup final win over Willem II on Sunday.

The Brazilian winger has been a vital player for Ajax this season, racking up 12 goals and 15 assists in 50 appearances in all competitions thus far, so having him unavailable against Spurs will be a big blow for Erik ten Hag's side.

The Dutch outfit hold a one-goal advantage over Tottenham from the first-leg in north London last week, so the tie is still evenly poised, and both sides will fancy their chances of progressing through to the final of the competition.

Spurs will have to be on their very best form if they are to beat this young, brilliant Ajax side, but their job might have just been made a little easier.

The Daily Mail claims that Neres is a big doubt for Ajax, after picking up an injury on Sunday.

Whichever 11 players start the game for Ajax will still be of the very highest quality, however, and Tottenham must be right at it from the very first whistle, if they are to stand any chance whatsoever of picking up a positive result in Amsterdam.
