The ex-husband of Jade Goody has reached out to the late star's mum Jackiey Budden ahead of the anniversary of her daughter's tragic death.

Jack Tweed, 31, issued a tear-jerking plea to his ex-wife's mum ahead of Mother's Day, as he prepares to mark the date she died aged just 27.

Former Big Brother star Jade died on Mother's Day in 2009 after a difficult battle with cervical cancer that shocked the whole nation.

The struggle of her illness was unveiled during her stint on the TV, as she was told about the diagnosis while she appeared on the Indian version of the show, also known as Bigg Boss. Jade's mum and Jack were by her side when she died, but since she passed, he and Jackie have drifted apart.

Jack has opened up about how he feels and has begged Jackiey to get back in contact with him to see how she's getting on.

"I've tried to reach out to her but haven't heard back and just desperately want to know she is doing OK. So to my message to Jackiey is please, pick up the phone and answer my call. Please get back in contact."

Last year marked the 10-year anniversary of Jade's death, and a heartbreaking documentary showed how Jackiey had coped with the aftermath of her beloved daughter's death.

Jackiey, who has previously been a sufferer of drug addiction, revealed she lit a candle for Jade each night, and sometimes ate her dinner at the late star's grave. Read More
