India vs West Indies 2nd ODI: Dream 11 Prediction, captain and vice-captain - Sports News

India vs West Indies 2nd ODI Dream 11 Prediction and Best Picks (Reuters Photo) After rain playing spoilsport in the first ODI of the three-game series in Guyana, India and West Indies have moved to the Queen's Park Oval for the second game and both teams will be looking to start on the attack after a washed out opening game. Interestingly, Chris Gayle has been ignored for the Test series, so this game and the last one at the same venue could be the last couple of times that one sees the legend take the field on the international stage.

The Indian middle-order kind of picks itself as the team didn't get to bat in the opening game. So while Shreyas Iyer should get another go after having made the XI in the first game, Rishabh Pant definitely will be playing the role of the finisher unless there is a top-order collapse. Kedar Jadhav is also set to get a game over Manish Pandey as was the case in the opening tie.

Dream 11 predictions, 2nd ODI: India vs West Indies

Batsmen

Well, leave out Chris Gayle at your own peril. The West Indies opener is all set to become the most-capped player for the country in ODIs on Sunday and he will be hoping to celebrate the landmark with a big ton. Rohit Sharma, who was in imperious form in World Cup 2019, can certainly be your opener in the Dream 11 team.

India captain Virat Kohli showed he is hungry for more when he hit a match-winning fifty in the final T20I last week. If you are risking Kohli to play at No. 4, you can also slot in Evin Lewis who looked in fine touch in the 1st ODI in the top four of your batting order.

Delhi Capitals captain Shreyas Iyer is certain to play at No. 4 and he will be hungry to prove his mettle on Sunday. He is certainly a good choice in the top 5 but the likes of Shai Hope and Shimron Hetmyer can also be good picks.

Wicketkeeper

Shai Hope is certainly a good choice but you wouldn't want to risk leaving out Rishabh Pant, especially after the way the India wicketkeeper-batsman shone in the final T20I vs West Indies.

All-rounders

Ravindra Jadeja will be keen on continuing from where he left in the World Cup semi-final and he will come in handy for your Dream 11 team. West Indies captain Jason Holder is an absolute must in the team.

Bowlers

Mohammed Shami can be the first name on your Dream 11 team sheet. The India pacer was excellent in his 1st spell in the 1st ODI. West Indies pacer Sheldon Cottrell was impressive throughout the T20I series. Kuldeep Yadav, who showed glimpses of returning to form in the 1st ODI, can also be a good addition for the spinner's spot.

Dream 11 team for India vs West Indies 2nd ODI: Chris Gayle (captain), Rohit Sharma (vice-captain), Evin Lewis, Virat Kohli, Nicholas Pooran, Rishabh Pant, Jason Holder, Ravindra Jadeja, Mohammed Shaimi, Kuldeep Yadav, Sheldon Cottrell.
