Georginio Wijnaldum says Klopp has lifted Anfield sign ban

Liverpool midfielder lifts lid on what he can now do before games.

Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum says players are now permitted to touch the sign in the Anfield tunnel.

Wijnaldum explained via his Instagram page that Reds stars were previously banned from doing so by manager Jurgen Klopp.

The 'This Is Anfield' sign is an iconic part of the historic stadium.

Wijnaldum explained that Klopp banned players from touching it until they won a trophy.

Klopp's Liverpool accomplished this in June, winning the Champions League.

Wijnaldum can feel proud that he played a major part in Liverpool winning the trophy too.

His brace at Anfield against Barcelona will never be forgotten, helping the Reds to a remarkable 4-0 win from 3-0 down in the first leg.

The Reds will take some stopping in their bid to retain their trophy this season.
