Repairs have been completed on China's Antarctic research vessel "Snow Dragon," which was damaged in a collision with an iceberg earlier this week.

China's Ministry of Natural Resources says the vessel's mast and bulwark were damaged during the collision, which occurred at a slow speed of 5 kilometres per hour on Monday amid dense fog.

No crew were hurt during the incident.

Snow Dragon is currently in the Amundsen Sea on the western side of Antarctica.

The trip is China's 35th expedition to the southernmost continent, according to the ministry.
