From inside the airport, the correspondent of Alhurra channel said that the clashes continue in several areas south of Tripoli, pointing out that there are civilians trying to escape from the confrontation sites.

Fierce battles took place on Sunday near Tripoli between the Libyan National Army forces and forces loyal to the Government of National Accord, which was centred south of Tripoli, especially in the vicinity of the International Airport, which ceased to operate since its destruction by battles in 2014.
At least 32 people have been killed and 50 injured since the Libyan Army launched the “Flood of Dignity” operation on Thursday to advance to the capital, according to a new toll issued by the Ministry of Health of the government of National Accord.
Tripoli’s Health Minister, Ahmed Omar said, on the Libya Al Ahrar TV channel, that civilians were among the victims, without further specifying their exact number.
