Matches today: (FEU-Diliman)

9 a.m. – DLSU vs FEU (Men)

1 p.m. – Ateneo vs NU (Men)

3 p.m. – UE vs UP (Men)

Far Eastern University stakes its unbeaten record against dangerous De La Salle today (Sunday) in the UAAP Season 81 men’s football tournament.

The Tamaraws gun for the No. 1 ranking to end their first round campaign in the 9 a.m. showdown with the Green Archers at the FEU-Diliman pitch.

With three victories and three draws, FEU currently sits on top of the table with 12 points, two clear off second-running University of Santo Tomas, which has already wrapped up its first round assignments.

In other fixtures, Ateneo plays National University at 1 p.m., while defending champion University of the Philippines takes on University of the East at 3 p.m.

With a young roster, the Tamaraws are making a huge strides in the tournament, ready to reclaim their lofty status as one of the league’s best programs.

The Green Archers are running third with nine points, the Blue Eagles, the Fighting Maroons and the Red Warriors are level with seven points, while the Bulldogs are not far behind with five.

De La Salle is fresh off a nine-day break after stunning UP, 2-1, which it hopes to carry it over against FEU.

With Jarvey Gayoso finally on target, Ateneo has won its last two matches with combined nine goals to rebound from its slow start.

NU has finally earned its full points after subduing UE, 2-0, last Thursday. Ivan Ouano, who has a league-best five goals, has been solid for the Bulldogs.

Both the Maroons and the Warriors are on a slump. UP could only get a point in its last three contests, while UE has slowed down after dropping its last two assignments.
