Tottenham ace Juan Foyth makes honest admission after Manchester City defeat

The Tottenham Hotspur defender was deployed as a right-back against Manchester City on Saturday.

Tottenham ace Juan Foyth spoke to reporters after his side's 1-0 defeat to Manchester City on Saturday, and admitted that he still has a lot of things that he needs to improve upon, as quoted by Football.London .

The 21-year-old joined Spurs from Argentinian outfit Estudiantes in the summer of 2017, for a fee believed to be worth somewhere in the region of £8 million, and he has gone on to make 21 appearances in all competitions for Mauricio Pochettino's side.

Foyth has shown glimpses of his potential, but on the most part he has looked a long way off the required levels needed to be a success in the Premier League .

He performed admirably for Tottenham on Saturday, however, filling in at right-back, and coming up against the in-form Raheem Sterling.

The Argentine spoke to reporters after the game, however, and admitted that he still has a long way to go before he can be considered as a top player, as quoted by Football.London :

"I think I need to improve a lot of things, and keep working. The most important thing is the team, though."

Next up for Tottenham is a home game against Brighton tomorrow night, and Foyth will be hoping for another chance to prove his worth.

Whether Pochettino will entrust the Argentine at right-back again, however, remains to be seen.
