The former Leeds United defender impressed against the Whites for Cardiff City.
Danny Gabbidon has likened Sol Bamba to a World Cup winner after the Ivorian starred in Cardiff City 's 3-1 win against Leeds United on Tuesday.
Bamba was released by Leeds in September 2016 and remained a free agent until Cardiff picked him up the following month.
The 32-year-old has since impressed under another ex-Elland Road employee, Neil Warnock, but found himself removed from his usual centre-back role for the Whites' visit.
Instead, he lined up in front of the back four, and his performance left a positive impression on the former Cardiff and Wales defender Gabbidon.
Was that Sol Bamba or Patrick Vieira in that @CardiffCityFC midfield tonight... wow what a performance from the big man!

"Was that Sol Bamba or Patrick Vieira in that @CardiffCityFC midfield tonight... wow what a performance from the big man!" He wrote.
The result, achieved courtesy of goals from Kenneth Zohore (two) and Junior Hoilett with Kemar Roofe replying for 10-man Leeds, and saw Cardiff climb above Thomas Christiansen's side at the top of the Championship .
And with the visitors' midfield suffering in the absence of Eunan O'Kane, some Leeds fans will perhaps wonder if they should have kept Bamba after all.
Were Leeds right to release their one-time captain?
