National University-Nazareth School slammed De La Salle Zobel 25-15, 25-19, 25-10 in a rematch of last year’s finals for a first-round eliminations sweep in UAAP season 82 girls volleyball at the Paco Arena on Wednesday.

Mhicaela Belen and Alyssa Solomon scored 15 and 12 points for the Lady Bullpups’ sixth straight victory.

NU sealed the win with a 10-1 blast highlighted by four aces in a match that was halted last Sunday due to power outage at the Blue Eagle gym in Katipunan.

The Lady Bullpups were in control of the third frame 22-13 but the Junior Lady Spikers fired six of the next seven points to trim their deficit to 23-19.

Back-to-back kills from Evangeline Alinsug and Solomon put NU back in motion for good.

Irah Jaboneta scored seven points, six digs, and six excellent receptions in a failed attempt for La Salle Zobel.
