The Los Angeles Lakers are looking to add more veteran presence to its young roster as they’ve engaged in trade talks with the Phoenix Suns for forward Trevor Ariza, according ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

The Lakers, who won five of their last six games, and the last place Suns are reportedly looking for a third team for LA to send Kentavious Caldwell-Pope.

However, any deal including Ariza or Caldwell-Pope could not take place until Dec. 15, when 2018 free-agents become eligible for trade.

The veteran wing signed a one-year, $15-million deal with the Suns this summer after playing a key role in the Houston Rockets’ run last season.

Los Angeles and Phoenix had an indirect transaction earlier in November when the Suns bought out center Tyson Chandler whom the Lakers signed subsequently. Since then, Chandler has been a integral piece of LA’s defense.
