Pasay silenced the Hagonoy Sports Complex after edging home team Taguig, 55-50, in the U17 Division of the Metro League on Saturday.
Pasay made its presence felt in the second quarter, holding Taguig to just two points the entire quarter and taking a 29-19 lead at halftime.

Taguig still put up a fight in the second half, drawing to within one, 44-45, with 3:46 left in the fourth quarter.
But Kurt Sienes knocked down back-to-back treys sandwiched by Kent Frias’ layup to up the lead back to eight, 53-44, with 1:44 left in the game.
Taguig went on a 6-1 run to pull off one last threat, but Sage Montevirgen scored the dagger layup with nine seconds remaining to formalize Pasay’s win.
Sienes paced Pasay with a game-high 24 points with seven rebounds and three assists, while Montevirgen added a double-double of 10 markers and 12 boards.
McDaniel Castillo had 16 points for Taguig.
