La Salle eyes solo leadership

De La Salle and University of Santo Tomas try to bounce back from recent defeats when they clash today in UAAP women’s volleyball at The Arena in San Juan City.

The defending champion Lady Spikers are coming off a stinging 21-25, 25-20, 25-21, 20-25, 15-12 loss to the University of the Philippines Lady Maroons while the Tigresses bowed to the Far Eastern University Lady Tamaraws, 19-25, 25-20, 25-19, 27-25, over the weekend.

Match is at 4 p.m. with La Salle hoping to gain the solo lead after dropping its first match in four appearances. UST, for its part, seeks to improve its 2-2 card.

In the other game, FEU faces University of the East (UE) at 2 p.m.

The Lady Tams are out to hike their 2-2 win-loss tally while the Lady Warriors aim to improve their 1-3 record after a 25-15, 25-21, 25-16 loss to the Ateneo Lady Eagles last weekend.
