PetroGazz has been a force to reckon, sweeping the five-game first-round elims without dropping a set, the latest of which a 25-19, 25-21, 25-21 drubbing of BanKo-Perlas last May 29.
Angels coach Arnold Laniog, however, said they are more focused on their performance than on their standings.
“Yung panalo, dumadating naman yun eh, basta’t mag-perform ka nang maayos(Wins follow if you perform well),” said Laniog.
BanKo-Perlas, on the other hand, is looking to improve its 2-3 mark in the middle standings after dropping a 25-22, 23-25, 27-29, 25-20, 15-7 loss to Pacifictown Army over the weekend.
In the other pairing, Creamline (3-1) aims to finish the first round on a bright note while BaliPure hopes to end a four-game losing start.
