Liverpool have been urged to make a move for Kai Havertz this summer because the Bayer Leverkusen youngster will provide something the Reds currently don't have with their front three - physicality. That's the opinion of ex-Chelsea player Craig Burley. Related articles Premier League still want Liverpool stars to get title celebration

Liverpool are one of the teams interested in signing Havertz this summer.

The 20-year-old is one of the most highly-rated attackers in Europe, and will reportedly cost £90million in the upcoming window.

He scored twice in Leverkusen's first game back from the coronavirus pandemic on Monday.

Leverkusen thrashed Werder Bremen 4-1 away, with Havertz bagging two headers.

Burley believes Havertz's goals were the perfect indication that he would be the perfect addition to Liverpool's side.

Speaking on ESPN FC , he conceded that the Reds' trio of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino don't provide much physically, and Havertz would give them something extra.

Burley argued that while Firmino has bagged a few goals from headers, he isn't the same ariel threat that Havertz is.

However, he conceded that the 20-year-old might have to stay put at Leverkusen for a year before the Reds are able to stump up the cash for him.
