It’s a two week break in February which is weird. The concept is fine just the timing is questionable. im sure it will benefit everyone but it should have been a week in December at the halfway stage of the league. Then a week in February. The football calendar is over saturated at all levels - domestic & international. players & fans can’t sustain this number of games. Alternatively reduce EPL to 18 teams which not everyone will accept. Make league cup one leg with no extra time, fa cup same (but to counter potential loss of revenue lower league clubs give them the choice of either a home draw which may be a leveller in terms of cup upset or away with 50/50 revenue split of gate and if game is televised a higher % of tv money). so eg Shrewsbury drawn at home to LFC they could have switched to anfield bring 8000 fans (Average home attendance is about 7000) get 50% gate receipts and potentially tv revenue if match is televised plus players would get once in a lifetime chance as they keep mentioning. Just a thought sure it has flaws but it won’t satisfy everyone
