Football as Arsenal knew it changed in 2004. Jose Mourinho arrived in England, deposed Arsene Wenger's Invincibles as champions in his debut campaign and the Gunners had to spend 16 years staring up the league table at others.

Mourinho has the potential to have a different kind of transformative effect tomorrow. Should Arsenal avoid defeat against his Spurs, they will remain ahead of them. Perhaps, for the first time in four seasons, they will be north London's top team.
