The craziest things to have happened since Liverpool last lost a home league match

Liverpool have now gone an incredible 51 games unbeaten at home in the Premier League after yesterday's win over Sheffield United. The impressive run dates back to April 2017 when they were beaten by Crystal Palace with Jurgen Klopp naming a starting line-up with Lucas Leiva, Emre Can, Nathaniel Clyne and Dejan Lovren. Anfield has notoriously been a fortress for Liverpool throughout their history but during the Premier League years that had somewhat diminished.

But Klopp has helped restore the famous ground to all it's glory in recent years with some astute signings which has seen them since win the Champions League and become world champions.

The one that truly matters is the Premier League though and they're looking increasingly likely to do it this year having opened a 13-point gap at the top of the table.

They have amazingly only dropped two points all season and have won all 11 matches at Anfield in the league - a total of 41 victories since their defeat to Palace back in April 2017.

Going back to April 2017 and Joshua hadn't even pulled off the biggest win of his career by flooring Wladimir Klitschko.

The British heavyweight champion went on to defend his belts on three occasions before losing to Andy Ruiz and then winning them back in Saudi Arabia last month. Tottenham played 18 months at Wembley before moving to a new stadium

Tottenham were still playing their final few games at White Hart Lane when Liverpool last lost a league home match.

In that time, they spent a longer than expected time playing their home matches at Wembley before finally moving into their state-of-the art stadium.

There could be more managerial appointments in this such as Chelsea being on their third manager since Liverpool last lost but Mourinho managing two different Premier League clubs in that period seems more remarkable.

The Portuguese coach had won the EFL Cup and would go on to clinch the Europa League in 2017 before being sacked in December 2018.

He then spent close to a year in the wilderness with a handful of TV appearances while being linked with a number of top jobs around Europe.

But the charismatic coach couldn't stay away from the Premier League as he took the vacant post at Tottenham a few months ago after the club moved on from Mauricio Pochettino. Away from football again and the runways at Britain's airports have taken a hit while Liverpool have been riding high at Anfield.

Both Monarch (October 2017) and Thomas Cook (September 2019) have since gone bust. Paper £5 and £10 were still being used

Yes, back in April 2017 we were all still using paper £5 and £10 notes in our wallets.
