star reveals what Bruno Fernandes has done in dressing room to impress team-mates

Manchester United star Luke Shaw has revealed how Bruno Fernandes has impressed his Old Trafford team-mates. The Portugal international joined United from Sporting Lisbon in the January transfer window.

And Shaw has hailed the impact of Fernandes, with the defender claiming the Portuguese ace is a leader in the dressing room.

He said: "He’s been amazing for us.

"The maddest thing is he hasn’t actually been there that long but what he’s brought in and the quality he has – of course on the pitch – but inside the dressing room as well.

"He’s a leader for us too."

“[Bruno looks] a special player,” Robson told talkSPORT.

“He’s got a fantastic attitude. I’ve met him a few times, I’ve seen him at the training ground.

“He mixes really well with the lads and you can see why he was captain of Sporting.

“He’s brilliant at getting in little pockets in between the defence and midfield, he gets into these areas, gets himself space and he’s got terrific vision where he sees a pass and performs a pass like Paul Scholes could, and he can score a goal.

“Hopefully he proves me right and goes on to be another Paul Scholes for Manchester United.”

Fernandes and United will not be back in action until April 30 at the very earliest due to the coronavirus outbreak.

However, Premier League action is unlikely to return until the summer.
