Manchester United transfer target Jadon Sancho must "agitate" for a move to Old Trafford once a bid has been made, according to Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth. Sancho is United's top target for the current transfer window but news on a potential deal has gone quiet in recent days. The Red Devils are not, as of yet, willing to pay Borussia Dortmund 's asking price of £108million for the 20-year-old winger.

However, Sheth says United have not even made a bid to start negotiations.

Dortmund are now "adamant" Sancho will not leave the club and are preparing to have him in the squad for the upcoming season.

However, Sheth says there are two things that can change that - United make a bid and Sancho demands a move.

"Make no mistake about it, this window represents what I call the perfect storm as far as Manchester United are concerned," Sheth said on Sky Sports News.

"They're in the Champions League, Sancho wants Champions League football, and they are realistically the only club who could do a deal for Jadon Sancho at the figures being mentioned.

"However, and this is the big crux of it, as it stands there's been no bid for Jadon Sancho from Manchester United.

"Dortmund are adamant he won't be sold.

"The only way that changes is a two-pronged answer here - if Manchester United make a bid and then if Jadon Sancho then agitates for a transfer to Manchester United.

"It must be said here that Dortmund have been quite bemused at how Manchester United have approached this proposed transfer.

"We have a situation where Borussia Dortmund have made it clear what their price is - it's €120m for Jadon Sancho.

"United have said they're not willing to meet that price, they think it is completely unrealistic in the current situation.

"But what they haven't said is what they are prepared to pay, hence there is no basis for a negotiation."

Sheth says there is a chance Sancho may never join United if a deal cannot be done in this window.

He added: "The information that I got this morning was that if United do not sign Jadon Sancho in this transfer window, there is a chance that Jadon Sancho will never become a Manchester United player.

"As it stands, we are as far away from Jadon Sancho going to Manchester United as we've ever been."
