However, Mourinho will also be welcoming back several key players for the match, as they too have used the break in football to recover from their injuries.

Harry Kane, Heung-Min Son, Steven Bergwijn and Moussa Sissoko have all been welcomed back into Mourinho's first-team.

But the former United boss is still cautious about these players returning, as he insisted recovering from an injury is still a long way from having full match fitness. As for Solskjaer, he has been tweaking a few things in training as well as bringing in some new ideas to the sessions, with the hope that United can secure Champions League football next season.

“Training has been about recapping what we did well, tweaking maybe one or two things and looking at some new ideas,” he added.

"But hopefully we can see a lot of what we saw towards the end before the lockdown.

“We’ve got games coming weekend, midweek, weekend for a spell so you have to focus on ourselves and not just on that one, first game.” Related articles
