Guardiola appears to have shifted his attention to the FA Cup ahead of tonight's game.

City will face Newcastle United in the cup on Sunday, and as a result Guardiola doesn't want to risk any injuries at Stamford Bridge.

The Citizens beat Burnley 5-0 on Monday night in a one-sided beatdown in the league, but the mood at the Etihad was dampened by an injury suffered by Sergio Aguero.

Speaking at his press conference on Wednesday, the Spaniard hinted that Ilkay Gungogan could replace Aguero and play as a false nine.

Guardiola insisted he would be forced to bring in some fresh faces to the side due to concerns over players' fitness levels.

He said: "We have an advantage that there is five days between [the Arsenal and Burnley games] but the team still isn’t fit.

"I don’t know when they’ll be perfectly fit with a few players playing every few days for 90 minutes. LATEST LIVE SPORT TV DEALS
