Liverpool team news: Fresh injury updates on Mohamed Salah, Andy Robertson and Joe Gomez | Football

Liverpool are flying high at the top of the table having beaten Manchester City 3-1 before the international break.

And Jurgen Klopp will be hoping his side can continue their momentum heading into this weekend' match against Crystal Palace.

The Reds have only dropped two points all season and they have a strong record at Selhurst Park having won on their previous five visits to south London.

But Klopp could have some decisions to make on his starting line-up with both Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson facing late fitness tests.

Trending Mohamed Salah Liverpool boss Klopp may have to tinker with his trusted front three with Salah carrying an ankle injury.

Salah has been troubled by the ankle issue ever since he hobbled off the field against Leicester following an awkward challenge from Hamza Choudhury.

That forced him to miss the match against Manchester United before returning to face title rivals Manchester City, only to aggravate the problem further.

He has been undergoing medical treatment throughout the international break, but the Liverpool Echo report Salah is doubtful to play against Palace on Sunday.

Andy Robertson suffered a swollen ankle in the win against Man City (Image: GETTY) Andy Robertson While Klopp has a number of replacements to fill in for Salah, the same can't be said for Robertson at left-back.

The Scotland international suffered a swollen ankle during the win over City, forcing him to miss Scotland's international matches.

And it looks as though the full-back faces a race against time to be fit for Sunday's match.

James Milner filled in a left-back for Robertson in Liverpool's 2-1 win over Genk at the start of the month.

Joe Gomez looks set to be in contention to face Crystal Palace (Image: GETTY) Joe Gomez There was more concern for Liverpool fans when Gomez was forced to miss England's match against Kosovo after picking up a knee injury in training.

However, Gareth Southgate has allayed any fears that the knock would keep him out of action for a period of time.

“He’s absolutely fine,” the England boss said.

“He took a clash of knees. We scanned it to be certain and I think he’ll be fine in a couple of days, but he wasn’t able to train."
