Liverpool take on Everton today in the third round of the FA Cup, as the Reds look to continue their blistering form.

The Reds are still unbeaten this season in the league, their only defeat in any competition coming in the League Cup.

Jurgen Klopp’s side are the heavy favourites today, but the German is likely to make a number of changes.

After a busy festive period, Liverpool are unlikely to play many of their first-team regulars, but could give a debut to new signing Takumi Minamino. Jurgen Klopp has been told to play a weakened team today (Image: GETTY)

The Japanese international joined the Reds on January 1 after signing from Red Bull Salzburg.

Klopp confirmed on Friday that he had been in training with his new team-mates, and was in contention to play.

Fabinho, Dejan Lovren, Joel Matip, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Xherdan Shaqiri will all miss the Merseyside Derby, meaning the German could give some minutes to his youngsters.

Despite the priority being the Premier League title, Reds fans are desperate to win today to get one over on their biggest rivals.
