Jasprit Bumrah effect! Kid in Hong Kong imitates India pacer's action, bowls a ripper

An unusual action coupled with pinpoint accuracy has made Jasprit Bumrah one of the best pacers going around. The smiling assassin doesn't showcase the aggression that is typical of a fast bowler but is proving to be opposition batsmen's biggest headache these days.

Ever since his debut in red-ball cricket, Bumrah has been able to establish himself as one of the lethal pacers across all formats. The India pacer jolted the Australian batsmen in their own backyard and played a crucial role in setting up India's historic 2-1 Test series win.

Months after a video of an Australian kid imitating Bumrah's action in his backyard surfaced on the internet, a clip of a U-13 cricketer in Hong Kong trying his bit to mimic the India pacer has gone viral.

Hong Kong Cricket took to social media to share a video clip of the kid bowling during an U-13 cricket tournament in the country. The kid can be seen taking a short bowling stride before picking up pace, just like Bumrah's hop, skip and jump bowling action.

Incidentally, the kid can be seen testing the batsman with the delivery bowled with the unusual action.

Hong Kong Cricket (@CricketHK) March 3, 2019 Notably, Bumrah had responed to the video of the Australian kid, who had imitated his action. "The kid is so cute. Give him my best wishes," the 25-year-old had written.

The kid is so cute . Give him my best wishes .

Bumrah is likely to lead the pace attack in England and Wales while the likes of Mohammed Shami and Bhuvneshwar Kumar are battling for the second pacer's spot.
