According to Italian publication CalcioMercato , Donnarumma's future at the club remains "highly" uncertain.

The report claims Milan and the player's agent, Mino Raiola, are not close to reaching an agreement on a new deal.

The 21-year-old is out of contract in 2021 and while the club wants to keep hold of their talented keeper they have also begun creating a shortlist of replacements if he leaves.

One option the club are considering is promoting 37-year-old Pepe Reina, who is currently on loan at Aston Villa from Milan, or 20-year-old Alessandro Plizzari, who is on loan at Serie B club Livorno.

The report claims the Rossoneri are considering 23-year-old keeper Alex Meret, who is out of favour at Napoli, and Udinese's Juan Musso, but they could face a battle with Inter for his signature as they are also interested in the 25-year-old.

Milan are also said to be considering Sporting Lisbon keeper Luis Maximiano.
