Arsenal transfer news: When Gunners will launch Dayot Upamecano bid

Arsenal will look to sign RB Leipzig centre-back Dayot Upamecano in the summer, with a deal for the 21-year-old unlikely for the January transfer window. The Gunners haven’t got the cash to spend this winter and will extend look to sanction loan deals to help them until the end of the season.

Express Sports understand that Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester City are all interested in signing Upamecano.

But according to Goal, Arsenal won’t be able to make their move until the summer because they don’t have the money to spend right now.

Demiral is behind Leonardo Bonucci, Matthijs de Ligt and Daniele Rugani in the pecking order and Arsenal would likely make him their prime centre-back.

Leicester are also said to be interested in the Turk and are confident in the fact that current defender Caglar Soyuncu could convince his compatriot to join the Foxes.

Another defender who Arsenal are thought to be interested in is Bayern Munich’s Jerome Boateng.
