5-star 2020 OT Myles Hinton commits to Stanford over Michigan

Myles Hinton, one of the top-ranked players in the 2020 class and the younger brother of a 2019 Michigan signee, announced his college commitment Wednesday. He picked Stanford over Michigan. Hinton, a 6-foot-6, 308-pound tackle from Atlanta, is the younger brother of 2019 Michigan signee Chris Hinton — a 4-star defensive tackle who is expected to enroll at Michigan later this summer. Myles Hinton is the No. 12-ranked player in the class of 2020. Per a video released by the younger Hinton on Twitter, the decision came down to the Wolverines and the Cardinal. He went with Stanford. The Hinton brothers are the son of former All-Pro NFL offensive tackle Chris Hinton Sr. Michigan's 2020 recruiting class — which can't sign until December — currently features five committed prospects: 4-star corner Andre Seldon (Belleville), 4-star receiver Kalil Branham (Columbus, Ohio), 3-star linebacker Cornell Wheeler (West Bloomfield), 3-star tight end Nick Patterson (San Antonio) and 3-star quarterback J.D. Johnson (Phoenix). Contact Nick Baumgardner: nbaumgardn@freepress.com. Follow him on Twitter @NickBaumgardner. Download our Wolverines Xtra app for free on Apple and Android devices!
