TV highlights for the week of Aug. 4-10

SUNDAY • Hosted by Thomas Rhett and Kelsea Ballerini, the 48th annual “CMA Fest” is stuffed with great performances. The artists on the bill include Lil Nas X with Billy Ray Cyrus and Keith Urban, Ballerini and the Chainsmokers and Carrie Underwood with Joan Jett. (8 p.m., ABC). • You’re invited to travel to the vast, nearly untouched plains of Tanzania in the stunning “Serengeti.” It’s a six-part documentary series that highlights the region’s majestic animals and their day-to-day lives together. Actress Lupita Nyong’o narrates. (8 p.m., Discovery). • As “Preacher” returns for its final season, God’s endgame for the universe begins to fall into place. Trapped between heavenly prophecies, hellish prisons and all-out nuclear war, Jesse, Tulip and Cassidy make their bloody way to the Most High. (9 p.m., AMC). MONDAY Lucy Lawless (“Xena: Warrior Princess”) is back in action in “My Life Is Murder.” It’s a mystery series set in Melbourne that has her playing a fearless private investigator whose insights into the darker quirks of human nature allow her to crack the most baffling cases. (Acorn TV). TUESDAY • “Woodstock: Three Days That Defined a Generation” is a new, two-hour documentary that examines the tumultuous decade that led to the historic concert event held 50 years ago at a dairy farm in upstate New York. (9 p.m., PBS). • Are you ready for some football? “Hard Knocks: Training Camp with the Oakland Raiders” kicks off its five-episode run. The docu-series embeds with the team as coach Jon Gruden, quarterback Derek Carr and the soon-to-be Las Vegas Raiders prepare for the season. (10 p.m., HBO). WEDNESDAY • Brace yourself. The grown-up actors from one of prime time’s most beloved teen dramas are back and clearly in need of attention and/or money. In the six-episode “BH90210,” cast members from “Beverly Hills 90210” – playing themselves – reunite at a 30th-anniversary fan convention in Las Vegas. Of course, old flames, feuds and feelings reignite and by the end of the weekend, Tori Spelling really wants to get the band back together for a “90210” reboot. In addition to Spelling, original stars appearing in the show include Jason Priestley, Shannen Doherty, Jennie Garth, Ian Ziering, Gabrielle Carteris and Brian Austin Green. (9 p.m. Wednesday, Fox). • In the season finale of “Grown-ish,” the gang’s sophomore year comes to an end. As it does, bottled-up emotions start to unravel, causing rifts in friendships and relationships and some interesting reconciliations. (8 p.m., Freeform). THURSDAY The crime series “Elementary” nears its end. In tonight’s penultimate episode, tech billionaire Odin Reichenbach inadvertently provides Holmes and Watson with a lead that could give them evidence that brings him to justice. (10 p.m., CBS). FRIDAY Season 3 of the Emmy-nominated “GLOW” follows the women wrestlers to Las Vegas, where they take the strip by storm. Now headliners at the Fan-Tan Hotel and Casino, they quickly realize Sin City is much more grind than glitter. (Netflix). SATURDAY Jason Momoa makes a big splash as the title character in “Aquaman.” The 2018 feature film follows the DC Comics superhero as he strives to preserve the balance between the surface world and the ancient civilization of Atlantis.
