The Lions picked safety Will Harris in the third round of the 2019 NFL draft on Friday night. Who is the newest Detroit Lion? Here are a few fun facts about the newest member of coach Matt Patricia's defense. Harris played at Boston College from 2015-2018. His best season was in 2017, when he had 83 total tackles (45 solo), 5.5 tackles for loss, one interception, three pass deflections and four fumble recoveries. In that season, and in 2016, Harris played on the defense that had an assistant coach named Paul Pasqualoni, now the Lions defensive coordinator, who was the defensive line coach at Boston College for the 2016 and '17 seasons. Harris finished his Boston College career with 225 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, one sack, five interceptions, 12 pass deflections and six fumble recoveries. Harris' father, also named Will, played football in college at Mississippi State from 1989-1992. He also played in the NFL, though his son was taken a few rounds higher. Dad Harris was picked in the seventh round by Buffalo in 1993. NFL draft prospects can get asked some pretty interesting questions during the draft process. Harris is one of them. According to USA TODAY's Draftwire , Harris said the strangest question he was asked is if he was a cat or a dog? The answer on his end wasn't hard. "I was asked to choose between a cat and a dog. Like which one am I? That one was pretty strange. It definitely caught me off guard a little. It was a pretty easy answer for me. I’m a dog all the way, 100 percent."
