The Japanese premium carmaker’s latest Philippine offering combines class, attitude, and practicality in a compact package that flaunts an aesthetic as stylish as it is muscular. Futuristic lights and sweeping design cues work hand in hand with the vehicle’s sharp edges and massive signature grille to convey an agile appearance. In ‘Blazing Carnelian,’ the UX is without question one of the segment’s hottest-looking offerings.
The main cabin highlight is the brand’s use of washi -inspired trim, which provides the interior with a cozy and minimalist atmosphere. Not familiar with the term? Washi is a paper and material commonly used in Japanese homes.

“In developing the UX, the Lexus design and engineering teams studied varied philosophies behind luxury and wealth, to bring a fresh perspective to the luxury landscape,” says Lexus UX chief engineer Mitsuteru Emoto . “For some, true luxuries go beyond the material. Instead, they are things such as time, experience, and beauty.”
Like we said, the UX is a practical vehicle: Its 5.2-meter turning radius makes it convenient to park and maneuver around cramped Metro Manila streets. What’s more, the carmaker promises that its 2.0-liter gasoline engine ( 168hp and 205Nm , mated to a CVT ) will be efficient and economical.
