Thanks you for the comments. Yes, the chances of finding signs of much older mobile containers are small. But there are indirect lines of evidence (as we discuss in the review article), and archeology keeps surprising us with new discoveries. So I hope more light can be shed on the origin of these apparently basic yet important tools.
