Ant-Man Theories May Be the Key to Avengers Endgame

The Avengers: Endgame fan theories are really starting to pile up now, and we've got a new one which looks like it's cracked a major part of the Avengers: Endgame storyline.

Reddit user u/burghghuy3, who must hawk up a lot of phlegm when he's introducing himself at parties, reckons that Ant-Man's going to be even more integral to the Avengers' attempts to sort out Thanos's finger-snap than anyone has yet theorised.

Obviously Scott Lang turns up in the Endgame trailer, waving at Captain America's security cameras and reintroducing himself. A popular line among fans is that Lang turns up outside Avengers HQ in 1993 after wandering around the Quantum Realm for a while, meaning he's got the knowhow to use its wibble-wobbly timey-wimey powers to reverse the snap.

However, u/burghghuy3 reckons that Lang wouldn't go straight to Avengers HQ immediately on coming back to our realm: he'd hit up Hank Pym, his mentor and Quantum Realm expert, first. That stands to reason, and there are a couple of other pieces of info which point in that direction.

In Ant-Man , Pym says he's been watching Lang "for some time now", which we'd generally presumed meant he'd noticed his criminal exploits but could mean that they've already met in the past at that point. Pym's extremely guarded about letting anyone know about his tech and knowledge, so it might be that the reason he so readily shared it with Lang in the first place was because he already knew him from the past.
