Wadsworth Girls Basketball Shuts Down Hoban In The Fourth Quarter, Comes

MEDINA, Ohio ‘ There couldn’t have been much else stacked against the Wadsworth Grizzlies in Monday’s Division I girls basketball ‘ but that’s high school sports.

Wadsworth, 19-4 and seeded third, next faces top-seeded Canton McKinley in the district final Thursday at 7 p.m. McKinley had its way with Brunswick in Monday’s other semifinal, 65-39.

How a handful of mistakes did not deny Benedictine’s Devon Fox: HS football Monday morning QB Twice Friday night at Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin, those hands failed him. He fumbled two times in the fourth quarter, yet wound up one of the heroes in Benedictine’s 31-24 overtime win at NDCL.

Fox scored four touchdowns. The first three pulled Benedictine even with its host. The final touchdown, a 3-yard pass from Nick Demchuk, was batted into the air and toward the back of the end zone before Fox pulled it in and kept both feet inbounds.
