UIL state executive committee chair Mike Motheral has ordered Duncanville athletic director Dwight Weaver to conduct an investigation into potential recruiting violations by girls basketball coach Cathy Self-Morgan, one of the winningest high school coaches in U.S. history.

Arochi trial update: jury deliberating | Plano Star Courier Enrique Gutierrez Arochi, 24, is being held at the Collin County Detention Center on $1 million bond. He’s been charged with aggravated kidnapping in connection to the disappearance of Christina Morris.

Following a brief showing Monday in which the defense called a handful of witnesses, both sides made their closing presentations in the trial of Enrique Arochi on Tuesday.
Arochi, on trial since Sept. 6, is charged with kidnapping Christina Morris, who remains missing after disappearing Aug. 30, 2014. She was last seen entering a parking garage with Arochi at The Shops at Legacy in Plano.
