Crescenta Valley 64, L.A. Poly 42: Crescenta Valley received 14 points from Georgina Kregorian to earn a victory Wednesday in the West Coast Holiday Festival at Burroughs High.

St. Francis 80, Lakewood 56: The Golden Knights (13-2) coasted to a pool-play win in the Nogales Tournament on Wednesday.

Flintridge Prep 65, Oxnard Pacifica 59: Flintridge Prep (7-5) notched a pool-play win in the Torrey Pines Tournament on Wednesday.

Coastal Basketball Roundup: Davidson girls rally to knock off McGill-Toolen Kelsey Thompson’s steal and basket with less than a minute left Thursday night lifted Davidson to a 45-44 win over McGill-Toolen in an early-season battle of Class 7A South contenders.

“It was a big win,” Davidson coach Charlie Shipp said. “We’ll take it for sure, but we’ll see them a few more times.”

Shipp’s team went from a zone defense to man-to-man in the fourth quarter after Nya Valentine hit four 3-pointers. She finished with 22 for McGill.
