San Sebastian College-Recoletos shoots for its sixth straight win when it collides with University of Perpetual Help System DALTA in NCAA Season 95 Tuesday at The Arena in San Juan.

The red-hot Stags are fresh from an 83-67 win over the College of St. Benilde Blazers where shooter Allyn Bulanadi fired a personal best 32 points, which helped SSCR-R improve its record to 7-3.

The Stags hope to keep their win streak going when they clash against the Altas at 12 noon.

In other games, St. Benilde takes on dangerous Mapua, which stunned Letran in double overtime last week, 105-101, at 2 p.m. while season host Arellano University takes on Jose Rizal University at 4 p.m.

San Sebastian’s win against St. Benilde allowed the Recto-based team to improve from its six-win total in 18 matches last season, and – more importantly – put them in position to make it to this year’s Final Four.

SSC-R mentor Egay Macaraya said that making it to the playoff stage is their immediate goal.

“That’s our target, to advance in the Final Four. At the moment, we’re in good position,” said Macaraya, whose team won its first round meeting with Perpetual Help, 107-90, last August 23.

“The players are stepping up and the other players are contributing well. I’m just hoping that we can sustain it,” added Macaraya.

At the moment, SSC-R is half-game behind No. 2 Lyceum of the Philippines University (8-3), while defending three-time champion San Beda University is on top with a perfect 11-0 card.

Perpetual Help, for its part, is currently at eighth spot with a 3-7 card and is on danger of missing the Final Four after making it back last year behind NCAA MVP Prince Eze.

On the other hand, St. Benilde has dropped four of its last five matches for a 6-4 record after a 5-0 start, and will be up against a Mapua side that hopes to move up in the top four with its current 4-6 card.
